Founded in 1956 as Merry X-Ray Corp, MXR Imaging began as a regional X-ray provider and steadily evolved alongside the medical imaging industry. Over the decades, the company expanded beyond X-ray into all major imaging modalities, systems, parts, service, and shielding solutions. As the business grew nationally and its capabilities broadened, the company rebranded to MXR Imaging to reflect its full-scope role in modern medical imaging.
Today, MXR Imaging remains headquartered in San Diego, California, with 7 locations nationwide and a team of 500+ employees supporting customers across the country. Since 2005 MXR has acquired nearly 25 companies with the goal of being a vertically integrated single source of imaging equipment and service.
